Objectives of the book
The objectives of the book are threefold.
- Presenting the state of the peace and security dynamic in BRICS nations and a selected number of developing nations.
- Understanding the extent to which the multilateral institutions attempt peace and security in developing world context is suitable in today’s world.
- Use the BRICS foundation to bring new methodologies into peace and security from the context of the developing nations.
Scope
This book project seeks to welcome research, evidence-based outputs and reflections/essays that address various aspects of peace, security and sustainable development in the BRICS countries and other parts of the world. It is not limited to conventional peace, international relations, and multilateralism. Still, it expands to presenting and discussing various aspects of peace ecology and the impact of anthropogenic causes of climate change and their impacts on local, regional, and international peace and security (migrations, livelihoods, etc.).
As part of the bigger project on BRICS Research, we are interested in the works of scholars from Brazil, India, China, Russia, and South Africa, and beyond, including the BRICS plus nations. We also welcome works of scholars from the other parts of the world working on peace and security studies; these encompass unpublished research, conference papers, revised and upgraded published works, reflections, etc., and those in developing nations. However, the main focus should be on BRICS, BRICS plus and other developing nations.

The book targets BRICS scholars and fanatics, but most importantly.

We are willing to accept manuscripts that are based on action research, ethnography, case studies, experimental studies, and literary/desktop research (supported by evidence in existing literature). Manuscripts should not have been published or be under consideration for publication. The author(s) is responsible for obtaining copyright permission for published units before submitting them to the editorial team. Furthermore, the contributions for this edited book are intended to range from 180,000 to 220,000 words; each book chapter or section is to range from 5,000 to 10 000 words, including all the materials.
The book would be published about 5-10 months from the deadline for full contribution submission on 30 May 2023. However, if the book project is accepted is delayed, its publication could be by early 2024.
